About Ramen Nagi
Founded in 2004 by Chef Satoshi Ikuta, Ramen Nagi is the award-winning, cool and hip Japanese noodle shop that bucks the traditional trend while focusing on delicious authentic tonkotsu ramen. Ramen Nagi is known for its perfect noodles and both traditional and fusion broth flavors and has gained popularity all throughout Asia and the US.
Ramen Nagi is a restaurant in Costa Mesa, California. It is listed at 3333 Bear St Ste 151, Costa Mesa, CA 92626, which places it among the local businesses of Costa Mesa that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.
This group covers the non-Asian restaurants, cafes, bars and food businesses that also appear in a mixed-cuisine food scene, including American diners, pizza, Mexican food, burgers, steakhouses and bakeries. Standard US restaurant norms apply: lunch and dinner service with a quieter stretch between, cards and tap-to-pay accepted almost everywhere, and a tip of 15-20% customary for table service. Fast food and quick-service counters expect payment up front and tipping is optional. Bars check ID for anyone who looks under 30, and the drinking age is 21 nationwide. Many restaurants in this group take reservations online through third-party platforms, while casual and fast-food spots are walk-in only. Sales tax is added at the register on top of the menu price and varies by city and state, so the final total is usually a few percent higher than the posted prices suggest.

Wonderful find and conveniently at the mall. Delicious made to order ramen with all the fixings. Delicious broth, fresh noodles, tender pork belly and more. Yum.

Variety & Customization: We tried three different ramens, and there are plenty of options to customize your bowl. Portion Size: Excellent portion of chashu pork—you definitely won't leave hungry. Flavor: The broth was a bit overly rich and greasy for my personal preference. Bonus: Loved the free bean sprout side dish! Very tasty and refreshing

Stopped by Ramen Nagi at South Coast Plaza and got to try their limited-time Garlic King Ramen before it goes away. If you like garlic, this one definitely delivers. Lots of garlic flavor without being too overwhelming. Out of the three bowls, my favorite was actually the Red King. It had a good amount of heat and just hit the spot. The Original King was solid too and easy to see why it's their signature bowl. We also ordered the karaage chicken, gyoza, and chashu rice. The karaage chicken was probably my favorite appetizer. Crispy, juicy, and something I'd definitely order again. The gyoza and chashu rice rounded out the meal nicely. Overall, a satisfying meal and worth checking out if you're spending the day at South Coast Plaza.

Ramen Nagi offers an authentic Japanese ramen experience, and overall, it’s good—but a bit on the pricey side. The broth is flavorful and well-prepared, and you can tell that care goes into how the ramen is made. However, considering the price, it didn’t quite stand out enough to make me crave coming back. One thing I really appreciated is their customization. They allow you to choose how you want your ramen—from the richness of the broth to other details—so you can tailor it to your taste, which is definitely a plus and makes the experience more personal. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, which adds to the overall positive vibe of the place. Service was smooth and pleasant. In summary, Ramen Nagi is worth trying at least once, especially if you’re curious about authentic Japanese-style ramen and enjoy customizing your meal. That said, for the price, it’s a bit expensive for what’s offered. The ramen is good, but not something I’d specifically go out of my way to return for. Worth trying once, but slightly overpriced for the overall experience.
